Navy personnel on liberty at Mogmog Island. Enlisted men lounge about a tiny island with plenty of beer.
Junior Officers and Senior Officers had separate "beer gardens" for their use.
Nurses, usually the only non-native women allowed on the island (sometimes female entertainers
also came to Mogmog), were taken directly from their launches to the officers' drinking areas. (NWDNS-80-G-408188)

during an enlisted men's liberty party, at Mogmog, Ulithi, March 1945. (NH 89353)

Trash, including the thousands of cans of beers consumed each day,
was taken to the leeward side of Mogmog and pushed into big heaps by the sanitation crews.
